One of the places which stocks furniture that goes well with the overall style of our house is Provincial Home Living. Yes, I do agree with a lot of people that their furniture is generally expensive, however when they have a sale it is possible to pick up some good buys. The sale announced today is 20% off buffets and hutches. Check out their website for more information...

Furniture That Tilby Wanted to Buy

Posted by   on   in , ,   with  2 comments
In the same shop that the picture frame also lives the furniture shown below. Tilby, as a loving wife, thought that she would only buy one item without husband approval, however I have already been booked in for a trip to Melbourne soon (with the trailer I reckon). Do you think that the furniture will go with our Art Deco style?

Classic Paris vs. Champagne France vs. Art Deco vs. Art Nouveau

Posted by   on   in   with  2 comments
When I go shopping for furniture and I show the salesperson that original Classic Paris theme photo (see below) it is not uncommon to be told that I am actually after furniture that is art deco or art nouveau. Can someone please explain to me what the difference is, because the research I have done has made me more confused than ever. Leave a comment or us the Contact Form widget... I don't mind. If you are an advertiser don't bother leaving a comment, because I'm just going to delete it like I have all the other ones that I tried!

Hand Blown and Etched Candle Sticks and Urn

Posted by   on   in   with  no comments

When my darling wife was visiting Swan Hill she had a stroll down the main street to a shop that has a lot of items that fit the French/Georgian style that we are going for in our house. She stumbled upon a set of hand created glass candle sticks (x2) and a matching urn, and thought that they would go great in our sitting area or on a side table in the entry or the top of the landing.
