Window Covering Options... Using Pelmets

Another one of our considerations for our window coverings is the use of pelmets. We would much prefer the use of pelmets over the use of lavish hanging rails; and could see them used in across the sliding doors and most windows (except for the ones with shutters). The style could be something similar to the diagram below (although maybe with a tad for French/Georgian flavour)...
